ETTA e-zine

Written by Terry Wassall on September 29th, 2008

I have just discovered the English Table Tennis Association’s (almost monthly) on-line magazine, or e-zine. Looks pretty good and, in addition to news and events there is a blog we can comment on and a Table Tennis Tips section. For instance the current August edition has a section on serving, including the use of the long serve and serving to left and right-handers. The previous two editions, June and July, had tips on forehand backspin serving

The forehand service from the backhand side is the most commonly used in high-level table tennis

That’s us then! Other issues have articles on backhand serves and even one on how to glue new rubbers on your bat.

The e-zine is well worth a look and you can subscribe to it (it’s free!) to get an email notification when the next issue is published on line. One weakness at the moment is there is no archive to help get back to earlier issues easily (it started in December 2007). However, each edition has a prominent button to view the previous issue.
